Francisco Rebelo is Associated Professor at School of Architecture - University of Lisbon, Director of the ergoUX - Ergonomics Laboratory and User Experience - http://ergoux.fa.ulisboa.pt/ and Coordinator of the research Ergonomics group in the Centre of Architecture, Urban Planning and Design, in the same University. His activity of teacher and research is focused in User Centred Design of Informational and Physical systems, usability, user experience and gamification, virtual reality, game design.
He published more than 200 articles, book chapters and is editor and co-editor of 8 books.
Francisco Rebelo belongs to the editorial of some International Journals (i.e. Human Factors and Ergonomics in Manufacturing & Services Industries, Theoretical Issues in Ergonomics Science). Is external adviser of projects the Portuguese Foundation of Science and Technology and Portuguese Innovation Agency. He is European Ergonomist and Portuguese representative in the Council of the Centre for Registration of European Ergonomists (CREE).
Is Co-Chair of the Ergonomics in Design Conferences in AHFE since 2012 - http://www.ahfe2016.org/board.html#eid
Has coordinated projects financed by the European Union, Portuguese Foundation of Science and Technology and companies (i.e. Embraer, NOKIA, Siemens, VW, ACECIA - Componentes Integrados da Indústria Automóvel, REFER, ADTRANZ).
Has supervised 9 PhD, 37 Master students and 4 Postdoc researchers.
